Kinesio Taping

Kinesio taping is a therapeutic tool to help with pain management, soft tissue injury, swelling and oedema and joint misalignment. K-taping involves application of a special tape which is designed to mimic the elasticity of human skin to help provide support but is unlike other tape such as zinc oxide which provides more rigid support.

K-tape acts as a stimulus for the skin, fascia and central nervous system to reduce pressure as well as helping to provide joint and muscular stability whilst the decompression element also activates the lymphatic system allowing for better circulation.

Athletes typically use tape in rehabilitation of muscle or tendon strain, muscle sprains, joints where this is swelling and oedema, bruised areas, knee pain, IT band pain, plantar fasciitis and shin splints.

If you feel you need taping on a particular body part you can select this add-on with any massage therapy.
